Bethenny Frankel found herself at the center of a major internet controversy after she posted a photo wearing her daughter’s Hello Kitty pajamas over the weekend. Always one to be concerned with political correctness, Bethenny has since responded to Kellokittygate in typical Bethenny fashion — with sarcasm and lots of hater trolling.
After her initial Twitter response of, “BREAKING NEWS! World Scandal: Former reality star, failed talk show host & cocktail maven jokes by wearing her kids’ pjs! #itcantbetrue” Bethenny has continued to treat Hellokittygate lightly, going so far as to post the instagram photo above of herself as the Unabethenny wearing the baggiest and least 4-year-old daughterish outfit she could find. The photo had no caption, and needed no caption.
She also continued poking fun on Twitter:
What will be convenient & economical is if I have another baby & wear their diapers when i'm in adult diapers. #frugalmom

Although I have no idea if it was intentional, Bethenny also posted a photo of a shell-encrusted sand mermaid that bore a striking resemblance to, well, I’ll let you decide:
“Look what we made!” Bethenny wrote along with the, er, sand Richard pic. “My little angel was sweet enough to make our mermaid a heart out of a mussel shell!”
Apparently Watch What Happens Live host Andy had the same thought as me and commented to Bethenny about it, inspiring this little Twitter convo:
