Michelle Duggar was in the hospital recovering from gallstone pain when she was sent to the OR yesterday for an emergency C-section. Baby Josie Brooklyn Duggar is the family’s 19th child, and only weighed 1lb. 6oz. at birth.
The baby is in stable condition, but is extremely premature. Josie was supposed to arrive mid-March.
The Duggar family participate in the Quiverful movement, a fairly new Christian belief system that a husband and wife should not use any form of birth control (including the cycle method) and should embrace any and all children they conceive.
