Emma Watson graduates from Brown, shares cap and gown photo

In today’s “we ain’t getting any younger y’all” news, Harry Potter’s Hermione graduated from Brown University.

24-year-old Emma Watson graduated from the prestigious Ivy League institution today with a degree in English literature. The actress shared a great photo of herself in her cap and gown via Twitter.

Watson took 5 years to reach her goal of graduation. She took a break in the process to promote the final H.P. film, The Deathly Hollows: Part 2.

Emma told Elle in April, “So many people told me it wasn’t possible. I kept saying, ‘I don’t care, this is what I want.’ And graduating will, for me, be really symbolic of all of that. I will be there. And I will be throwing a huge party. And getting very drunk.”

After Watson rallies from her much-deserved celebration she’ll be getting back to work on the film Regression.

For going from virtual obscurity to international fame at the age of nine, and then to move forward as a lead in one of the most popular film franchises in history and still have the want and focus to graduate from Brown — we say congratulations. That’s a heck of a feat!
