Multiple sources are confirming that one of the world’s most eligible bachelors may have officially relinquished his title as George Clooney has reportedly popped to question to his girlfriend, attorney Amal Alamuddin!
“George and Amal are trying to keep things very low-key but they also aren’t really trying to hide this, it doesn’t seem,” a “source with knowledge of the situation” tells People. “I think it’s like they want the people they love to know that this is real, that they plan on being together forever.”
Another source tells Page Six, “George and Amal hoped keep the engagement quiet, but they can’t hide the fact that they are very happy.” Page Six’s source says the proposal occurred “not that long ago, I think.”
George Clooney’s rep answered numerous media outlet inquiries about the engagement by responding with, “I do not comment on his personal life.”
George Clooney, 52, and British attorney Amal Alamuddin, 36 (photo above), were first spotted out together in London in October, and since have been spotted together on numerous globe-trotting adventures.
The potential nuptials may mark the end of one of the most storied celebrity dating histories of all time, as Clooney’s past relationships have been well-documented by paparazzi and the media — especially since his transition from small screen E. R. star to big screen A-list superstar.

George Clooney and Kelly Preston dated in the late 1980s after meeting in acting school. The pair lived together in Los Angeles until Kelly left him for Mr. Tiger Blood, Charlie Sheen. She later went on to marry John Travolta.
George and Talia Balsam actually walked down the aisle — his one and only time. George still admires his ex-wife said the relationship’s failure was primarily his fault. Yet, he’s since vowed to never wed again.
George and Kimberly Russell dated shortly after his marriage to Talia ended. He reportedly broke up with her so he could use his new-found ER fame to bed some ladies.
George and Karen Duffy were hot-and-heavy for a matter of weeks. Still, she makes the list because of their public appearances.
