Within the past months, I’ve confused pictures of Glee‘s Naya Rivera for Kim Kardashian upon first glance a small handful of times. That doesn’t seem to be a total coincidence: Earlier this year, Naya began working with her acquaintance’s longtime hairdresser, Clyde Haygood.
But, the beautiful Glee star didn’t always look so Kardashianified… And we have plenty of childhood acting pictures as evidence!

The flashback pictures reveal one “secret” Naya’s apparently made a point of avoiding since hitting it big: She used to have a mole beneath her lower lip.
While unique beauty marks worked for Marilyn Monroe and Cindy Crawford, it looks like Naya opted to get her mole removed sometime between 2006 (when the preceding photo was taken) and when Glee premiered in 2009.
Either way, it’s pretty clear that Naya’s the kind of beautiful girl who’s been inspiring songs for years…
