Peaches Geldof dies at 25

Peaches Geldof found dead at 25

Model, writer and television presenter Peaches Geldof, the daughter of singer Bob Geldof, has died at the age of 25. Police responded to a report of concern for the welfare of a woman at an address near Wrotham, Kent Monday afternoon, and the woman, later identified as Peaches Geldof, was later pronounced dead by South East Coast Ambulance Service.

“We are beyond pain,” her father Bob Geldof said of his daughter’s passing. “She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us.”

He then added, “What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable?”

Kent Police issued a statement about her death that revealed, “At this stage, the death is being treated as unexplained and sudden.”

Peaches had two sons, Astala Dylan Willow (born April 21, 2012) and Phaedra Bloom Forever (born April 24, 2013) — both with husband Thomas Cohen.

UPDATE – Cohen has since issued a statement about his wife’s death. “My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons,” he said. “I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts everyday. We shall love her forever.”

Sadly, Peaches’ last tweet included an instagram photo of her and her mother, who died of a drug overdose in 2000 when Peaches was only 11. Here is the photo, posted yesterday with the caption, “Me and my mum:”

Peaches wrote in a recent contribution to Mother & Baby Magazine about how her children changed her life. “When I had two wailing, smiling, joyful little blobs of waddling pink flesh they became my entire existence and saved me from (a life) of pure apathy,” she wrote. “Everything else was nothingness – I had the perfect life, two babies who loved me more than anything. It was and is bliss.”

We will update as soon as we know more about Peaches Geldof’s cause of death. According to police there was no suicide note, signs of injury, or signs of drugs.
