Arie Luyendyk Jr. ambulance after car crash

Racer and The Bachelorette alum Arie Luyendyk, Jr. was seriously injured in a violent crash during Saturday’s opening race of The Off Road Challenge (TORC) series in Primm, Nevada. Luyendyk was running in fourth place when his truck got turned causing him to flip multiple times before coming to a stop on all four wheels. Paramedics were quickly on the scene and Arie was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for a broken collarbone and other injuries.

Here’s a video of the violent crash. It should skip to just before it happened, but if not, then you can fast forward to the 2:39:00 mark:

Arie’s Twitter account shared the photo at the top of this post showing him giving a thumbs up as he was being placed in an ambulance. It included the caption, “Still here at the hospital just want to thank the @TORCOffRoad safety crew for getting out safely. #morphinetweet”

Arie later tweeted, “Going to be okay.. Possible surgery to fix my clavicle but my neck and back are okay. Be back soon, everyone loves a good comeback story.”

Arie’s dad, famed racer Arie Luyendyk Sr., was also updating fans via Twitter after the wreck:
