The Bachelorette‘s Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum are expecting the first child, the former reality stars revealed this week.
“It’s nice not to have to keep a secret anymore. We’re beyond thrilled,” J.P. told InTouch.
Ashley, who is three months along, said she’s nervous and excited. She added she’s “wanted a child for a while.”
Television viewers first met Ashley when she was a contestant on Brad Womack’s second season of The Bachelor. She was then selected as the seventh Bachelorette, at which point she fell in love with J.P., a construction manager. They wed in a televised ceremony in December 2012.
Now, they have another televised wedding to remember fondly: The couple discovered Ashley was pregnant while in Santa Barbara for Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici’s wedding.
“There was legitimately a line,” J.P said of the pregnancy test Ashley took on Sean Lowe’s wedding day. “That’s when we officially found out — of course it would be at a Bachelor wedding!”
Baby Rosenbaum is due in October 2014. Congratulations to the expectant parents!
