Teen Mom 3′s Mackenzie McKee’s house burglarized

Mackenzie McKee Home Robbed

Little more than one week after Teen Mom 3‘s Mackenzie Douthit-McKee and Josh McKee welcomed baby girl Jaxie, the family’s house was burglarized to the bare bones.

Mackenzie’s mom, Angie Douthit, said the perpetrators took virtually everything.

“The idiots took all of Jaxis new baby clothes, all of her baby items, high chair, bath, swing, etc.,” Angie said on Facebook. “They took all of Josh and mics Christmas clothes, lamps, hunting items, washer and dryer, and had everything boxed up ready to come back and get the rest. I mean EVERYTHING.”

A friend added the thieves went out of their ways to damage the house: “Everything was trashed. Picture frames broken everywhere on the floor. The island in the kitchen was torn up and the couch was turned upside down for some reason.”

Although the crimes seem senseless, people close to the family say the criminals likely follow Mackenzie on social media.

“It had to be someone that saw they were out,” Jodi McKee commented on Facebook. “When she posted it on Facebook and knew they wouldn’t be home for a while. So I wouldn’t look too far out of Facebook friends.”

Another source told Radar Online the robbers were likely aware the young family was going to be away from home for the day.

“Josh was working at the rodeo in Kellyville, Oklahoma, which is two hours away, so they were gone for at least six hours,” the friend said. “No one was hurt so that’s the most important thing, but they literally took everything they needed. It’s a horrible violation.”

Despite the upsetting and unsettling incident, the family is staying positive.

Angie expressed the same sentiment on Facebook, “So saddened today, but not destroyed… I know these people need Jesus and lots of prayer.”

Fortunately, the community is rallying around the McKees: Dozens commented they will contribute baby clothes, toys and household items.

And this is why I don’t post on social media when I’m out of town. Especially when your well known by so many people.

      • OhEmGee

I was going to say the same. No need to post your every move on social media.

    • P

OMG what happened, did the robbers hook the trailer up to the back of their truck and skedaddle?

      • Brittany

        Best comment ever, haha!

      • Bell

This literally made me lol. Thanks!

    • Chandler Bing

Waiting for someone to blame it on the name Jaxie.

      • :))))))))

What does her poor judgment into naming kids got anything to do with this ?

By the way, there were more than a few people. I was one that offered to donate some clothes that no longer fit me, and also offered some baby girl clothes. A little goes a long way, people. Always be there to help others, because it’ll always be appreciated.

I tell my kids no facebook and I don’t have one either. There was a hit & run in front of my moms house & the first thing the police had up..Face Book. They said it was the most useful tool ever, not only to ID but find people through their friends.

      • Myndee

But on the flip side, my hometown’s police page made a person’s name public before notifying his family of the death. It has it’s good and bad, but lately the bad has been outweighing the good.

        • anjealka

That is horrible. I was just shocked at how quick the police found friends of friends of friends. I live in a very Mormon area and it was surprising how many of the kids the police were looking at who were into bad things had facebook friends from high school that were now church missionaries. So you see a 19 year old stupidly posting pictures of themselves drinking & partying while 20+ friends were Mormon missionaries off serving Jesus. It tells me be careful who you friend on facebook or after high school delete the friends you no longer talk with.

    • A_Nicole

Absolutely terrible. Hope they find who did this but yea people really need to be more careful on social media esp when they are in the spotlight

    • Lisa

Their house was burglarized, not robbed. Robbery requires force or fear. It’s like the difference between jail and prison.

    • Murphy

Wow even the washer/dryer…? Someone be on the look out for a moving van or some other huge vehicle.

    • Lanie_Lane

This is exactly why I never post my whereabouts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc… And why I get Po’ed when a friend tags me with their “Check-Ins” on FB. Common Sense should alert Mackenzie that being in the spotlight and having haters, something like this was bound to happen. All other teen moms ( except Farrah) should also learn from this.

      • Bell

        Mackenzie having common sense hahahahahah

    • Guest

The grandma spelled the baby’s name wrong…

    • Guest

      Bitch, got what she deserved.

      • :))))))))

No, her and josh(drug den fight act 2 anybody ?) might have but their kids didn’t deserve to have their clothes and toys stolen. That’s just an heartless thing to say.

      • christee

I don’t think she’s a bitch. Bitch would imply she has some type of sense about her to make better, or at least different, life choices. You could call her many, many things, but bitch? Nah…I’m also curious as to why you feel she “deserved” this. Having the combined i.q. of a paper plate doesn’t mean they deserved to have all their stuff stolen from their home, wheeled or not.

    • Becca

Why give them stuff when there’s a lot more less fortunate families out there to give to. Seriously they made money from the show had a big wedding. I’m pretty sure there family is supporting them.

      • cookie

You didn’t know? We only give things to the people that have the money to buy it themselves, duhhh. That’s why celebs get the gift bags worth thousands, free meals and money to appear at things, while the rest of us have to pay for what we need.

      • Myndee

Part of me thought maybe since the show was cancelled and she wants new stuff that they either had someone steal it or sold it off and made it look like a burglary to get new, free stuff. Then I remembered she’s not that smart to come up with such an elaborate scheme.

    • Hayley

I know I’m going to get a ton of shit for this comment, but she kind of brought it upon herself. She might not be what I would consider a celebrity, but she was on television and she is famous, so shouldn’t she have known that putting all of her public information on social media wasn’t the best idea? Even people who aren’t famous should know that saying that you’re going out for the day/on vacation/etc. on Facebook/Twitter/etc. is like an invitation for burglars to come and ransack your house. I wish the best for her and her family and I feel bad that this happened to her (seriously, who is heartless enough to steal toys from a child?), but she should have been more cautious.

      • Myndee

Before my husband deployed in 2012 they made the spouses go to a briefing and they hit safety and social networking hard. They said don’t be stupid and post you’re going out if town and tag your home location or how long you’ll be gone for the above reason. There have been articles in multiple outlets about not putting all your business out on social media, maybe schools should be teaching kids social media safety to high school kids and middle schoolers like they teach elementary kids stranger danger

    • Ashlee

It’s okay, I’m sure she has enough money from MTV to buy new stuff. Must be nice to get paid for getting knocked up in high school…

    • Maiko Higa

If you have to post about something, do it when its over… not up to the minute updates. But the washer and dryer, seriously? Get an alarm system.

    • Sweet Venom

I agree with everyone regarding the social media. I don’t think anyone would take the time to drag out a washer and dryer and load it up unless they knew how long Mack was going to be away from the house.

    • m

say what you will about how dumb these kids are, and HELLO pink overload but jaxie is so cute in that picture.
