It’s the week of female pop superstars aligning! First we had Madonna joining Miley Cyrus on stage for the latter’s MTV Unplugged concert, then we saw Rihanna and Shakira ramp up the sexy for the new “Can’t Remember To Forget You” music video, and now we have two more of the biggest female pop stars of all time getting together as Lady Gaga was in Las Vegas this weekend and crashed Britney Spears “Piece of Me” show! The Union has already inspired an army of fans known as Brit Brittle Monsters. 😉
Britney had hinted at the stars aligning on Thursday when she tweeted “Little bird told me something cool today. See you soon @LadyGaga ;)” Lady Gaga then responded with this tweet:
Then, on Saturday night, Britney teased the Gagappearance once again by tweeting, “Tonight’s show is gonna be a good one, I can feel it. Who’s coming?” That question was answered by Lady Gaga when she tweeted this next photo of her and her Versace-inspired long straight blonde hair and wrote, “On my way to #BritneyBitch in #ARTPOPStyle long blond hair, androgynous wear:”
Britney responded with:

Apparently Lady Gaga took Britney up on her offer, as evidenced by the iconic photo at the top of this post featuring Lady Gaga and Britney Spears (with her stage costume and makeup on) together backstage. “Me and Brit Brit <3 #Applause4Britney @britneyspears we had so much fun at your show!" Lady Gaga captioned the pic on Twitter, before adding:

Lady Gaga also shared the photo of herself and Britney on LittleMonsters.com and wrote, “She looked so gorgeous, the show was so much fun, and her dad gave us THE BEST BBQ. It was a #MonsterParty!”
Sadly, it doesn’t appear that Gaga joined Britney on stage, but the two did interact during Britney’s performance of “I Wanna Go” as Lady Gaga tossed a rose on stage and the two blew kisses to each other. The moment was captured by audience members who were miraculously not passed out during the event:
