Late last month, 19-year-old Justin Bieber added to his growing tattoo collection with a huge eagle on his arm. If we haven’t lost track, that takes Bieb’s ink total up to 21.
Although Justin is clearly a fan of body art, mom Pattie Mallette is less thrilled.
“I wish he didn’t have tattoos,” she said of her oldest son during a Twitter Q&A session on Sunday. “But I do like them. I’m torn. Weird right?”
Pattie previously said she doesn’t “necessarily have to like” Justin’s tattoos, but does have to recognize he’s entitled to his own opinions. She later told Ryan Seacrest it helps to think of Justin’s tattoos as artwork.
“Some of them are really neat, you know, the ideas he has. Like this little eye, he said is his mom’s always watching. So at least he knows I’m always watching him.”
Even though it’s too late for Pattie to talk Justin out getting tattoos, she does hope to influence one of his other decisions…
“Ahhh omg could u imagine me a Grandma already!?,” she said on Sunday, reacting to Justin’s statement that he hopes to be a young father. “Hopefully that’s a long way in the future!”
