Bad news, JoBros hopefuls: The trio officially pulled the plug on the ailing band.
“It’s over for now,” 25-year-old Kevin Jonas told People today.
Nick Jonas, the youngest brother, added, “It’s really hard to say ‘forever.’ We’re closing a chapter, for sure.”
The split comes just weeks after the Jonas Brothers canceled their tour at the last minute because of a “deep rift within the band.” Shortly after that announcement, there was speculation that the “deep rift” was caused by Joe Jonas’ rumored drug addiction, not creative differences.
According to Blind Gossip, Joe dabbled in heroin in the past, but developed a full-blown addiction after he began dating illustrator Blanda Eggenschwiler in late 2012.
Blanda then responded to the reports by posting a message on her Instagram account.
“I find it fascinating how anyone nowadays seems to have been given the eligibility through the platform of social media to spread rumors and call them ‘news,'” she said on Oct. 22. “I find it disappointing that big networks and papers don’t seem to find it necessary to check their sources before they pick up on these so called ‘news.’ Who comes up with these dazzling stories? I’d love to meet you.”
Although most of the stories about Blanda are gossip-based, her resume certainly speaks to her artistic abilities: The 29-year-old Switzerland native graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She then went to work as the New York Times‘ art director and then transitioned to a brand engagement firm.
She is also an in-demand artist who curated a fashion line for OBEY Clothing, runs Cargo Collective and works part-time as a model. Safe to say she stays pretty busy…
“I don’t actually have real weekend time,” she told the German-language News For Original Girls.

Somehow, though, Blanda’s been able to nurture her relationship with Joe. Daily Mail even reported the couple went house hunting last week.
