During tonight’s episode of Teen Mom 3, Brittany DeJesus contends with her emotions while preparing for her first visit to the gynecologist since having an abortion.
“Last time I had someone up by vagina, I got my freaking abortion,” Brittany told her mother, Roxanne, and sister, Briana.
Brittany’s abortion was never a secret for viewers of 16 & Pregnant or Teen Mom: She was pregnant at the same time as her sister, but made the difficult decision to have an abortion before Briana appeared on 16 & Pregnant.
Since then, viewers of Teen Mom 3 watched how the women’s decisions affected their lives in different ways: For Brittany, terminating her pregnancy allowed her to pursue school and enjoy more of her youth. However, this is one of the first times we’ve seen how Brittany was emotionally affected.
“It’s a bad memory. It’s like a trip down f**king memory lane. I don’t want to go and relive that day,” Brittany said. “That’s why I don’t want no one touching me. I’m not really ready for that. A year sounds like a lot, but it’s really not. Not for something like that. So, yeah, that’s why I don’t want to go to the doctors.”

Briana and the girls’ mother were both upset to see Brittany in such distress, but reminded her she made the decision for very valid reasons.
“Let’s not forget: You didn’t just wake up and say ‘I want to do this,'” Roxanne said, comforting her daughter. “No. There were many reasons why you wanted to go through with the abortion.”
