For a while it seemed like Simon Cowell was distancing himself from Lauren Silverman, his friend’s wife who is carrying his child, but now he is going public with her as his girlfriend and embracing his new role as a father.
“I’m proud to be a dad,” Simon told the BBC at the One Direction movie premiere. “It’s something I hadn’t thought of before, but now I know I feel good about it.”
Simon and Lauren reconnected in the French Rivera last week, and now seem ready to start a family together. “She’s a very special girl,” Simon says of 36-year-old Lauren. “Things are changing in my life right now, for the better.”
Wednesday night they stepped out together for an Italian dinner, and even put on show for photographers by kissing and posing. Has Simon Cowell finally changed from a playboy to a family man?
