Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson’s first son was born on June 30. Nearly two months later, the parents — and big sis, Maxwell Drew — are proudly showing off their new addition, Ace Knute.
The family invited Us Weekly into their California home earlier this month for an interview and photo shoot.
“With two kids, we have our hands full, but every day is a new adventure,” Jessica said. “It’s fun! I feel very at peace with being a mom.”
Even though Jess loves motherhood, she doesn’t plan to expand the family any time soon. With her first two pregnancies practically back-to-back, she wants to slow down, enjoy and recover.
“Pregnancy is a lot. It was hard to do two so close together,” she confessed to Us. “I have this huge sense of accomplishment, and I feel in my heart that I’m done. But obviously, accidents do happen!”
A new baby did indeed come into Jessica’s life shortly after the interview: Her BFF, CaCee Cobb, welcomed son Rocco with actor Donald Faison on August 15. No word on whether Ace and Rocco have had their first play date yet…
