35-year-old reality star Kim Zolciak, who is expecting her fifth child, was photographed openly smoking on the beach over Memorial Day Weekend in Destin, Florida.
In the photos, which are published exclusively on The Daily Mail, Kim has what appears to be a baby bump while she puffs on her smokes.
Kim has two young sons with husband Kroy Biermann: Kash Kade, (10 months) and Kroy Jagger (2,) and two daughters from prior relationships, Brielle (16,) and Ariana (11.) The couple has yet to officially confirm that Kim’s expecting another baby, but multiple outlets have now made the claim.
According to WebMD, smoking while pregnant comes with the following risks:
- Lowers the amount of oxygen available to you and your growing baby.
Increases your baby’s heart rate.
Increases the chances of miscarriage and stillbirth.
Increases the risk that your baby is born prematurely and/or born with low birth weight.
Increases your baby’s risk of developing respiratory (lung) problems.
The more cigarettes smoked while pregnant, the greater the risk for the baby, and there is no “safe” level of smoking.
Kim has the right to do what she wants, but it’s not just about yourself when there’s an unborn child involved. I’m not a smoker, so I have no idea what it must be like to quit, but I’d like to think that I would be able to do it if I were pregnant.
