REPORT Two and a Half Men to replace Angus T. Jones with female cast member

Two and a Half Men with Angus T. Jones and Ashton Kutcher and John Cryer

Angus T. Jones is leaving Two and a Half Men after ten seasons with the show and rumor has it that producers are going to be replacing him with a girl! (Womangus T. Jones?) It’ll be like Three Men And A Little Lady, but with more booze and one less dude.

According to Deadline, producers are casting for a female in her late teens or early twenties who will join the show as Charlie Sheen’s character Charlie Harper’s long lost daughter.

Deadline’s source claims that the girl “shows up on Walden Schmidt (Ashton Kutcher)’s doorstep searching for her father” and eventually moves in with him and her uncle Alan Harper (John Cryer).

After Charlie Sheen was fired from his role as Charlie Harper in 2011 (because of the whole tiger blood fiasco), Ashton Kutcher was brought in as a new lead. Many worried that the cast change would lead to a drop in ratings, but it actually gave the show a boost. During Charlie’s last season, the show was receiving an average of 12.73 million viewers per episode. Once Ashton was added, that number jumped to 14.64 million.

Late last year, the show was involved in some controversy when Angus, who plays Jake aka “half,” posted a video rant on YouTube, begging fans to stop watching the show. “If you watch Two and a Half Men, please stop watching Two and a Half Men. I’m on Two and a Half Men, and I don’t want to be on it,” he said at the time. “Please stop watching it and filling your head with filth.” He later apologized.

The new season of Two and a Half Men is set to premiere on CBS this fall.
