REPORT Aviva Drescher signs on for Real Housewives of New York Season 6

Countess LuAnn de Lesseps last to sign contract for Real Housewives of New York City Season 6

The Real Housewives of New York‘s sixth season just got one more cast member. According to a new report, Aviva Drescher has finally come to an agreement with Bravo and will join Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, Carole Radziwill, and Heather Thomson for the upcoming season. The Countess, on the other hand, remains unsigned.

“Aviva began filming the new season on Wednesday,” a production source confirmed to Radar Online this afternoon. “But the Countess still won’t sign. She is furious that the deal on the table is not as lucrative as her past agreements, especially considering she and Ramona are the only two original cast members and she is by far the most recognizable face of the New York franchise.”

Just yesterday, LuAnn told press that her name is always on Bravo’s list, but “they have to make me happy.” From the sound of things, Bravo isn’t making her happy — at least not yet — and that may be because of a couple new faces they plan on bringing aboard. “They’re bringing in a couple new people,” LuAnn confirmed earlier.

Last season, Aviva was unable to film at her home because her building prohibited it, so weeks ago, she and her family moved to a Park Avenue townhouse which does allow cameras. This time around, fans will be seeing a lot more of Aviva’s at-home life with her husband and four children.

On Monday, Bravo announced that the series was renewed for a sixth season but at that point, only Ramona, Sonja, Carole, and Heather were signed on.
