Reese Witherspoon was photographed at LAX May 4 wearing an Atlanta Police Department hat, which wouldn’t mean much if she weren’t arrested a few weeks ago in the ATL.
Reese (37) and her husband Jim Toth (42) were arrested for DUI and disorderly conduct, and Reese has since acknowledged that her behavior and decisions that night were unacceptable.
“We went out to dinner in Atlanta and we had one too many glasses of wine,” Reese explained to host George Stephanopoulos. ”We thought we were fine to drive and we absolutely were not . . .We know better and we shouldn’t have done that.”
They were ordered to pay fines, and Toth was sentenced to 40 hours of community service and ordered to complete an alcohol education program.
