Marisa Zanuck confirms she won’t return for Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 4

Marisa Zanuck hinted in her final blog that she was done with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Weeks later, she seemed to retract her “Goodbye” and said that she was hopeful she’d be asked back for more. Then today she set the record straight and revealed that she will not be returning for Season 4 — and she’s not playing coy about why.

“I wasn’t asked back,” Marisa reveals to Celebuzz. “It’s as simple as that and I’m okay with it. Housewives was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and I am grateful that Bravo gave me the opportunity to step into their crazy world. I have no regrets and nothing but love for the amazing viewers that were so kind to take time out of their day and reach out to me on Twitter and comment on my blogs.”

Marisa’s honesty comes just months after her former co-star Adrienne Maloof claimed to have “quit” the show. Other reports, including an announcement by Andy Cohen during the Season 3 reunion, seemed to suggest otherwise. (Danielle Staub of The Real Housewives of New Jersey and Sheree Whitfield of The Real Housewives of Atlanta also claimed that they chose to quit, but they too were rumored to have been let go by Bravo.

“Let’s be honest, nobody is going to quit the show unless they have a spinoff because they either need the money or have a business to promote,” Marisa admits. “If a housewife doesn’t fall into those two categories, then perhaps she was attracted to the show by the lure of fame, and in that case won’t be giving it up anytime soon,” a very candid Marisa adds.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was not my life — it was a very, very small part of my life, a moment in time that has passed,” Marisa continues. “I’m not the kind of person that is desperate to be on television, and the truth is, that HousewivesSelling L.A. and Million Dollar Listing L.A. found me.”

Marisa recently filmed for Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing L.A. and will be shown on the show’s sixth season when it returns.
