Forget Tom Cruise! The cameras should have been rolling on the overpoweringly adorable Suri Cruise as she artfully recreated a scene from the Steven Spielberg classic Schindler’s List:

The re-envisioned documentary about Scientological oppression will be called Surindler’s List.

Suri’s rumored to be enrolled in Catholic school (not Scientology school!), so she’ll soon have less free time for her artistic expressions.

oh gee what a striking comparison….one that only a

OK….so my first comment was to much for you? Lets try this again.
Being you resort to comparing this child Suri, to that of an unfortunate little soul from the movie “Schlindlers List” then either you are a shameless insensitive idiot or you have an inordinately dark soul. The prime example of a formless journalist.

Wouldn’t you like to know -
Your first comment wasn’t too much for me, I was just away from my computer. These images of Suri in all red surrounded by the large, dark figures of the adults and the black SUV we’re SO striking to me, and it instantly reminded me of Spielberg’s poignant use of crimson on that little girl in Schindler’s List. The scenes in which we see her are chaotic scenes of mass dehumanization with an overwhelming amount of violence and hatred, which tends to leave the viewer feeling like just that – a viewer. That little girl in a red coat allows the viewer to focus, to gain an empathetic perspective from inside the chaos, which is only amplified because the pair of eyes we are given are those of an innocent child. The viewer’s feelings of third person horror are shifted into first person panic – at least that’s what I experienced.

Having said that, of course it is ridiculous to compare a photo of Suri Cruise getting into an SUV with her mom Katie Holmes to go see her father Tom Cruise filming his latest movie in Boston to that of the girl from Schindler’s List trying to escape the Nazi-led genocide of her people. But, these images did remind me of those scenes and I didn’t think it too disrespectful (or the actions of someone with an “inordinately dark soul”) to point that out. And of course there was some sarcasm intended in the comparison! This is starcasm.net after all. (Are you at least willing to admit the two photos are similar?)

Now, if you really want to be offended by someone’s disrespect of Schindler’s List, check out the absolutely silly remake from the series “Hot Chicks in Black and White Flicks!” (You can also check out my Dead Man Walking cartoon featuring Kelly Bensimon from The Real Housewives of New Jersey. I would be less able to defend that from any stance other than I was just trying to be funny.)

        “Inordinately dark soul?” Ouch.
