REPORT Lindsey Vonn not bothered by Tiger Woods’ cheating past

We all know Tiger Woods likes the ladies – REALLY likes the ladies. His seemingly endless string of affairs ruined his marriage and lead to his divorce from wife Elin Nordegren in 2010. Now the 37-year-old golfer has officially announced he is in a serious relationship with 28-year-old World cup alpine ski racer Lindsey Vonn. So will Tiger be able to change? And what does Lindsey Vonn think of his much-publicized philandering past?

According to one of Lindsey’s friends, she is not bothered by it. The source told People, “Tiger makes Lindsey happy… She isn’t concerned what others think. She trusts her instincts. She is very comfortable with the relationship.”

Tiger’s camp seems to be echoing the same sentiment. People reports that a source close to Tiger said, “They have sat down and talked it out more than once… He has explained his side and owned up to what he did wrong. He has been honest with her. She’s not freaked out by his past.”

Lindsey wrote on Facebook about her and Tiger, “Our relationship evolved from a friendship into something more over these past few months and it has made me very happy.” Being very happy is something Lindsey has had issues with. She struggled with depression in the past, but appeared to be turning things around in December of 2012 when she told People, “All the parts of my life are finally in sync… I accept who I am, and I’m moving forward.”

Part of moving forward was apparently leaving behind her husband at the time, fellow U.S. Olympian skier, Thomas Vonn. Their divorce was finalized just this January.

It sounds like Lindsey knows what she’s getting into and these are two mature adults both looking to move forward with their lives together. It’s hard to knock them for that, although Lindsey might want to accompany Tiger on any trips to Vegas.
