PHOTOS America’s Next Top Model to include men

America's Next Top Model Guys-Girls

It’s been on the air for 19 seasons, but America’s Next Top Model producers are still looking for ways to mix it up. This year, the previously female-exclusive competition is expanding to include the other half of the population. Will the new eye candy be enough to save Tyra Bank’s tired show?

The 20th season will premiere this summer on The CW and will feature eight women and eight men — who will all live under one roof.

“There will be more than a little opportunity for rivalry, flirtation and romance,” promises a CW spokesman.

The CW has already previewed a wedding-themed shoot with the guys and girls, which was put up for public vote last week. It will be interesting to see the new dynamics as the season gets underway.

That being said, it’s doubtful that any of the contestants will truly become “America’s next top model.” We’re 20 seasons in and how many former models’ names can you remember? I can only think of Adrianne Curry (of My Fair Brady fame) and CariDee English (who keeps showing up on my TV in psoriasis commercials).

Will you watch the new season? Do you think the addition of men will make a difference in the ratings?
