We’ve just got some worrisome news out of McIntyre, Georgia. Mama June Shannon from Here Comes Honey Boo Boo just posted on Facebook that Sugar Bear has been hospitalized after experiencing chest pains on Monday. He was diagnosed with pancreatitis and held in ICU for the first night. He has since been moved out of ICU, but as June wrote, “he has a long road ahead of him.”

oh k cause everyone is talking and what our family emergency is well im going to go public so there will b no fake stories of what is going sugarbear was rushed to the hospital Monday by us cause he was having chest pains like gas pains well we get to the hospital and after tests we found out he has a severe case of pancreatitis which is inflammation of the pancreas and cause he is a diabetic type 2 pills only thats not good so he has been hospitalized under strict doctor care was in ICU the first night he is out of ICU but he has a long road ahead of him we have let his pancreas rest and his body rest tests r being ran everyday cause they dont know what is causing us cause normally causes it like gall stones alcoholism or high cholesterol and he doesn’t have none of these things so hope we get answers soon we r staying very close to the hospital in case he needs us thanks for all the thoughts ahead of time and i will update when i can… (June)
We wish Sugar Bear the best and hope for as speedy a recovery as possible! I’m sure it’s extremely difficult for him, and June, and the entire family, especially since Sugar Bear was just in ICU for an infection stemming from a 4-wheeler accident in September.
UPDATE February 22
Oh k another update sorry i havent updated but between the hospital taking care of the kids and filming im exhausted.. well they started taking him off the strong pain meds he was on he still in alot pain he tried to eat a clear liquid diet but he hurt his chest they done another ct scan tonight and we will have results in the am.. he is getting antsy but we still don’t know what caused the pancreas to be inflamed 🙁 and we dont know how long he will b in there (june) thanks for the support and thought from everyone it means alot to us
UPDATE February 23
oh k update on sugarbear after not feeling like we was getting the best treatment possible we checked out of that hospital to another one with better doctors and specialists he needs he is now getting the treatment he needs to get better he now has a severe pancreatitis which we all ready knew and fluid in his lungs(puemonia) that wasnt treated before …so lets hope he gets better soon

KWell after moving hospitals Saturday sugarbear is doing alot better cause he getting the meds he needs to get better the docs r saying things r looking alot better so maybe we r on the way to recovery the GI specialist is coming in today to check everything it just amazing how 2 days in the right hospital has made a difference.. thanks to everyone for the thoughts and prayers

Another update on sugarbear its a great one thanks to all the prays and thoughts sugarbear is going to b released will b so glad to b going back home… hope we r not back for awhile hospitals r very draining
