Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries marriage lasted less than three months, but it seems like the divorce is taking three years. Kim’s kid with Kanye is gonna be in kindergarten before all this is over. Thankfully, for all of us, things seem to be moving along because a trial date has been set and Kris Humphries’ lawyer has allegedly quit.

TMZ has sources telling them that his lawyer Marshall Waller even told Kris “there are NO legal grounds for annulling his marriage to Kim, because there’s absolutely NO evidence of fraud,” and that he is “abusing the legal system.”

A court date has been set for May 6, and Judge Scott Gordon, who presided over Britney Spears and Kevin Federline’s 2007 divorce will hear the case.

Today (Friday, February 15,) the same day he allegedly filed papers to be relieved of counsel, Waller appeared before judge Judge Stephen Moloney, who ordered that the case proceed to trial despite Humphries’ attempt to delay the trial due to “uncooperative third parties.”

According to E Online, Waller told the court: “This is a fraud case. It really is. And that is a case that takes a lot of time to develop. We are not ready to go forward. We do need more time.”

According to NYDN Waller argued that he needed more time to “obtain and review 13,000 hours of footage from Kardashian’s reality shows to try to prove the fraud claim but noted he does not yet have an agreement to receive the footage.”

TMZ states that Waller cited “irreconcilable differences” as his reason to part from Humphries. UPDATE: TMZ is now saying that Waller decided to leave because Humphries’ out-of-state lawyer Lee Hutton refused to let go of seeking an annulment.

Three people are expected to testify on behalf of Kim Kardashian, and 3-5 will testify for Kris Humphries.

Kim Kardashian’s lawyer Laura Wasser reportedly said at the hearing, “Let’s get this case dispensed with.”
