Charlie Sheen shocked the world by announcing on The Late Show with David Letterman that his daughter Cassandra is pregnant and he will soon be a grandfather. The announcement has turned the media’s attention on Charlie’s otherwise reclusive daughter Cassandra, her mother Paula Speert, and husband Casey Huffman.
Paula Speert was Charlie Sheen’s high school sweetheart and she gave birth to their daughter Cassandra Jade Estevez on December 12, 1984. Charlie and Paula never married and had broken things off by 1990 when Charlie Sheen famously accidentally shot his then-fiance Kelly Preston in the arm. (Soon after that incident Kelly broke off their engagement.)

Much like her mom, Cassandra Estevez is having her first child with her high school sweetheart, but unlike her mom, Cassandra is married to hers. Cassandra Estevez became Cassandra Huffman by marrying Casy Huffman in a lavish ceremony held at Santa Barbara’s Bacara Resort and Spa on September 25, 2010.
Cassandra, who actually met Casey when they were in junior high (photo above), was walked down the aisle by her dad Charlie Sheen while the song “Flightless Bird” from the Twilight soundtrack played.

The couple said their non-denominational vows under a four-post altar made of birch branches and decorated with white organza, florals and crystals.
After the ceremony, the 165 guests, including Martin Sheen and Emilio Estevez, gathered for a reception in the hotel’s Rotunda Room. The decor included butterflies hanging from the ceiling, mercury glass votives and deep red roses for centerpieces. The newlyweds performed their first dance to Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together.”
The entire event was captured on film by videographer Daniel of IMAGIQUE and edited the same day so those in attendance could watch the video after the reception. Here’s the video, which is really amazing given the turnaround time!

It was a beautiful ceremony, Cassandra was a beautiful bride, and these two seem to be the poster children for lovebirds, so it’s exciting to hear they are expecting their first child together! Let’s just hope he or she isn’t born with too much of that tiger blood and/or Adonis DNA or Cassandra and Casey could be in real trouble! 🙂
