Just a week and a half after hiding her baby bump with a bouquet at BFF Cacee Cobb’s wedding, Jessica Simpson and her fiance Eric Johnson have officially announced that they are expecting their second child and they did so in a super cute way.
“Merry Christmas from my family to yours!” Jessica wrote along with the photo below of the nearly eight-month-old Maxwell dressed in an adorable candy cane inspired onesie with the message “Big Sis” written below her in the sand.
When Jessica was first rumored to be pregnant earlier this month, sources claimed that Weight Watchers was not happy with the news. In fact, it was even said that she could lose her $4 million deal with the company and that they could possibly have pulled the ad all together. However, on Christmas morning Weight Watchers didn’t seem mad at all. They even tweeted a few happy words for Jess and her fam. “Congrats to @JessicaSimpson, Eric and big-sister-to-be Maxwell,” they wrote. “Your WW family is so thrilled for you. What an amazing year you’ve had!”
While the pregnancy may not have been planned, sources claim that Jessica and Eric are both “overjoyed” and judging by the picture above, so is little Maxwell.
After giving birth to her first child, Jessica told Katie Couric, “Motherhood is a dream. It really is absolutely amazing.”
As for the couple’s upcoming nuptials, Jessica recently said, “We have not set a date. We haven’t had time!” And with a new baby on the way, it doesn’t look like they’ll be free anytime soon.
