Tattoo Regrets: Dude who got Romney face tattoo wants it removed because Romney’s a “sore loser”

After Mitt Romney lost the election, Indiana wrestler Eric Hartsburg said he had no regrets about having a Romney/Ryan tattoo on his face. Now he’s backtracking and wants the ink off!

Leading up to the election, Eric, a pro-wrestler known as “Erio” put up an auction on Ebay to raise money for the Romney campaign. In exchange for the $5,000 he raised, he put the tattoo on his face.

After Romney didn’t win the election, Erico was still excited about the sacrifice he made, and had no regrets.

“I’m a tattoo guy, and it was something fun. I was trying to make politics fun. I didn’t change no lives; I’m no hero. But I shed blood for this campaign, and I’m glad to know that I did all that I could.”

Now, though, he’s citing Romney being a “sore loser” as the reason why he wants the logo off his face. He told Politico:

“It stands not only for a losing campaign but for a sore loser…he’s pretty shameful as far as I’m concerned, man. There’s no dignity in blaming somebody else for buying votes and paying off people. I can’t get behind that or stay behind that.”

An L.A. based tattoo-removal chain is offering to take off the tattoo for free, but tattoo removal is a long process that sometimes never completely gets the ghost of the image off the skin. Erico IS thinking about auctioning off space on his face again, so maybe that’s how he’ll cover it up. He says he’s going to be “more choosy” about political face tattoos in the future.

At least he’s learned something?
