Kevin Clash, Elmo voice and puppeteer accused of sexual relationship with an underage teenage boy

Kevin Clash, the puppeteer who cheers up the world with his performance of Elmo, has allegedly tarnished the innocence of Elmo forever. He is currently on leave from Sesame Street after being accused of having a sexual relationship with an underage teenage boy seven years ago. Sesame Street says that he is taking the leave to defend himself against defamatory statements.

The show’s lawyers were contacted by a 23-year-old man who claims he was in a relationship with Kevin (52) when he was 16 years old. According to TMZ, Kevin admitting having a relationship with the man, but only after he was an adult, but the accuser isn’t backing down. He’s hired the law firm Andreozzi and Associates, the same firm that represented some of Jerry Sandusky’s victims, and claiming that he thought the Sesame Workshop was trying to silence him.

In a letter to Sesame Street, the accuser’s lawyers accuse Sesame Street of trying to cover this up in order to protect the valuable Elmo character.
