Prepare for the next break-up song by Taylor Swift. The country crooner and her younger beau, 18-year-old Conor Kennedy have called it quits. Taylor and Conor had first been spotted together in July at the Kennedy family compound in Hyannisport, MA, and after Taylor hit it off with his family, things seemed to be heading in the right direction. Unfortunately, Taylor’s career proved to be too time consuming for these two.
“They quietly parted ways a while ago,” a close friend of Taylor’s tells Us Weekly. “It was just a distance thing. No hard feelings. They’re fine. It’s been over a month since they’ve even seen each other. With her promotion for Red, she has no time off until the end of the year.”
Well that doesn’t sound like it’ll make for a good break-up song! Let’s hope there is more to it than that.. especially considering this was actually one of Taylor’s longer relationships.
Prior to her relationship with Conor, Taylor had been linked to an array of celebs including Taylor Lautner, Jake Gyllenhaal, Cory Montieth, Chord Overstreet, and John Mayer. Not too shabby, right?
Taylor also dated Joe Jonas who infamously broke up with her during a 27-second phone call. “That’s got to be a record,” Taylor later said. “When I find the person who’s right for me, he’ll be wonderful. I’m not even going to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone.”
No word on what she’ll do with the $4.9 million home she bought next door to the Kennedy compound. This should be a lesson, kids. Don’t buy homes under the influence of love!
