Joe, who was also a youth pastor, had been married to Tina Simpson for 34 years, but Tina filed for divorce late last month after Joe came out of the closet, according to a Radar Online insider. “Joe got the family together about two months ago and came out of the closet,” the insider claims. “He told them that he’d tried to continue in his marriage to Tina, but he couldn’t go on any longer and deny the fact that he had these feelings for men. Joe said it wasn’t fair to her, and it wasn’t fair to him.”

Over the summer, Joe was busted for DUI in Sherman Oaks, and according to reports, the 54-year-old has been spiraling out of control ever since. Regarding the arrest, the source claims that his boy-toy may have been with him at the time. ”The police report stated that there was someone else in the car with Joe,” the source adds. “Some reports have stated it was Tina, but now the belief is that it may well have been a boyfriend.”
In the divorce documents, Tina cited “discord or conflict of personalities” as the reason for her filing, not the typical “irreconcilable differences.”
