It can be tough being a Gosselin these days. A while back daddy Jon was photographed DeeJaying a school dance and now momma Kate has been clipped from her coupon blogging job.
To make matters worse for Kate the bossman at CouponCabin.com wasn’t necessarily kind in expressing why he let the reality star go. CEO Scott Kluth wrote an official statement about the dismissal:
“A series of recent events have made it clear to me that Kate Gosselin and her contributions do not align with the authenticity which we set out to build almost a decade ago.” Adding, “Ms. Gosselin is simply not a good fit with the wonderful team and culture at CouponCabin.”
Ouch. Kate has been working on trying to line up a new show in which she is her own version of a Bachelorette, vetting potential new Jons.
UPDATE: A source told Radar Online that although Kate’s gig at the coupon blog was mostly about publicity, and never supposed to be long-term, she refused to take direction about her blogging, or offer up relatable and useful coupon tips:
“Kate wasn’t really contributing realistic coupon ideas and money-saving tips for the every day working class person, and when she was given direction on how to better blog, it was ignored.”
Here are a few comments from dedicated readers of the site after the news:
• Finally! Her useless tips and self-adulation were annoying and promoted nothing. Sorry you wasted a year of your time and money on this fraud.
• Thank you so much Coupon Cabin for upholding honesty and integrity to your site and company brand. I have the utmost respect for your decision and will begin to utilize your site. Thanks!
• As a neutral person, I felt that Kate had her own agenda for accepting that position. She does not care about her fans or whether or not she is saving them money with good advice. She took that position with the hopes of keeping herself in the spotlight. That is what it is always about…..KATE!!!I often felt that her advice was repetitious and not helpful at all.
