Everything is okay with Jason Aldean and his wife after the married father of two was recently photographed making out with American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr at a Los Angeles night club, according to his wife Jessica Ussery Aldean.
The “Take a Little Ride” sanger spoke with CMT Insider to let all his fans know that everything is cool on the home front. He stated:
“The main thing is that me and my family are OK, and everything’s good there. So I think it’s been a tough deal. But I kind of said what I needed to say to them and, hopefully, they understand that. And the rest of it will be us dealing with it in private and trying to fix it. “It’s good, though. So for everybody that stood by us, I appreciate it.”
Many folks gave Aldean props for directly addressing the issue via Facebook right after the images surfaced. The only problem was that it didn’t really seem like he addressed said situation but kind of was just like “my bad – let’s move on.” Kerr seemed about the same with her official apology.
Aldean further explained how he’s doing now:
“I know everybody’s kinda going to have their opinion, and for the people that know me and know what I’m about … the people that are standing by us and supporting us, all I’ve got to say to them is thanks. I mean, I really appreciate it, and it’s just been a really unfortunate thing. Really embarrassing, I think, more than anything.”
We all make mistakes but it seems like Aldean’s tone has been less regretful and more perturbed at having been outed than anything. In the end it’s up to Jessica on how this plays out and Aldean needs to remember it was his indiscretions in a public place that made this a public story.
