Vicki Gunvalson took a lot of heat from her family and friends The Real Housewives of Orange County last season thanks to her controversial relationship with alleged “deadbeat dad” Brooks Ayers. Despite her family’s wishes Vicki carried on with Brooks throughout the season, and well after. Now, just weeks before her daughter is due to give birth, Vicki and Brooks have apparently decided to spend some time apart.
“If a relationship has to be a secret, then you shouldn’t be in it. Just saying….” Brooks tweeted on September 14. Just one day later he added, “I’m not a perfect person, I make a lot of mistakes but still I love those people who stay with me after knowing how I really am. #loyalty.” While at the time the posts didn’t mean much, more info has surfaced leading everyone to be convinced of the split — even Tamra Barney.
Once Tamra got word of the news she took to Twitter and declared, “I hear Brooks is throwing down some mean comments on twitter cuz he got dumped……boy did I call that move!”
Brooks quickly responded, writing, “@TamraBarney Stupid and you aren’t even ‘in the loop’ #getalife #payattentiontoyourownbusiness.”
A few days later, Vicki released a statement of her own. She tweeted to Tamra, requesting she take it easy on Brooks. “Please don’t be disrespectful to Brooks. He is a good man,” she said. “That is very rude. I’ve never not been wise about being with brooks … I don’t know what everyone is talking about but I didn’t dump Brooks. We are both taking time for ourselves right now.”
The couple has been dealing with plenty of controversy lately. Earlier this month, Slade Smiley insinuated that Vicki had cheated on Brooks, and just last week, Vicki’s son-in-law put him on blast on Twitter, telling followers he is a “manipulating, lying piece of s**t.”
Vicki Gunvalson is about to begin filming on Real Housewives of Orange County season 8, will her split from Brooks make it easier for her to get along with the other women? We’ll have to wait and see.
To be honest, I’m a little disappointed we might not get to see Tamra and Brooks go at it any more. Can I get an evil eye?
