Emily Maynard and Jef Maynard got engaged for the world to see on the season 8 finale of The Bachelorette, and after several months of traveling back and forth to see each other and get to know each other better, the two have gotten started on the wedding planning process — and they’re sharing plenty of exciting details.
“We’re thinking early spring 2013,” Jef tells Life & Style. “We haven’t locked anything down yet, but we just know that’s the time frame we want to do it.” After months of commuting back and forth across the country to spend time together, Jef has finally moved to Charolotte to be with Emily and her daughter Ricki, 7, so that he can be a “carpool dad.”
Emily and Jef had chosen to live apart for the first few months so that Ricki had time to get to know Jef in a non-rushed sort of way.
Now that the reality couple is together more, they’ve been able to plan for their dream wedding together. “It’s been so easy,” Emily states. “I’ll show Jef the ugliest thing in the world, and he’ll be like, ‘Whatever you want, I want.'” Emily has been looking for wedding dresses online since July and admits, “I’ve been buying every wedding magazine in the grocery store.”
“I have an idea of what the whole thing is going to look like,” Emily adds. “I’m just glad I found the guy. The rest will come.”
