Real Housewives of Miami returns tonight to Bravo tonight for season 2 and although season 1 was deemed a flop by some, the new season has four new housewives and all new drama. Marysol Patton, Adriana de Moura-Sidi, and Lea Black are all returning and will be joined by Joanna Krupa, Karent Sierra, Ana Quincoces, and Lisa Hochstein (that’s a LOT of girls!) The more ladies, the more drama, and in addition to the official housewives, Mama Elsa will be getting more camera time and Alexia Echecarria will also be seen (unfortunately not much because of her son’s car accident).

The official housewives appeared on the Today Show this morning where they dished about what is to come on the new season. “I think the mix of the new girls has made it hot, spicy, wild, crazy, fun and … a few other things have gone on. There’s more drama than ever and it heats up as the season progresses,” Lea revealed.

New housewife Ana admitted to being a bit hesitant when it came time to join the cast. “I think we’re never sure of what we’re getting ourselves into. There’s always a little bit of apprehension doing something new when you can’t predict the outcome — especially when you can’t predict other people’s behavior,” she explained. ” I think the key is to try and stay above the fray and keep your dignity in the process.”

In the trailer for the new season, Ana is caught in a bit of a love triangle when she reveals that her co-star Joanna’s fiance has been secretly texting her. Also in the trailer, Adriana is seen getting into a physical altercation with Joanna during a fundraiser at Lisa’s Star Island home — Adriana even slaps her but still insists that it was “definitely warranted.”

“The new cast members obviously bring new blood and excitement and interaction, and with that comes a lot more drama than we had on season one, ” Adriana tells the Hollywood Reporter. “Miami becomes a character this season where the city is really portrayed like it hasn’t been before. You will see a lot of fashion and glamour and the lifestyle of the people that make Miami the scene that it is.”

“I think everyone kind of has their own way of causing drama in one way or another,” Lisa adds. “I think all of us are equal opportunists. When you have that many women together, there’s definitely going to be drama, especially with all of the egos and the personalities. There was never a dull moment.”

In true Housewives form, the ladies took a vacation during the season which fans will get to see and according to Lisa, a lot of things are revealed during the trip. Adriana recalls, “We got rained on, and there was more drama because we were inside the house all the time. Imagine when all these women with huge egos are confined in a space for several days. It only brings out the worst in everybody.” Sounds like reality TV gold!

Be sure to tune in to the 75-minute second season premiere of Real Housewives of Miami tonight at 9/8c on Bravo.
