Is nothing sacred anymore? Little girls everywhere dream about being just like Princess Ariel. However, according to a few plastic surgeons, she’s far from perfect. In fact, they felt like she needed some work and after a few adjustments, Ariel is looking more Real Housewives-like than ever.

In a new advertisement for Clinica Dempere, a plastic surgery clinic in Venezuela, Princess Ariel is featured sporting some new features. The nerve of these people changing such icon Disney history — it’s insanity.

The ‘new and improved’ Ariel is sporting a much more refined nose and lifted eyebrows. Her cheek bones are much more pronounced and her lips are fuller as well. Plus, we haven’t seen that much cleavage on a cartoon since Jessica Rabbit.

The doc removed her tail, replacing it with some legs. Now, if he was around when she met Prince Eric, things would have been a whole lot easier for her in the movie. The rest of the procedures were obviously unnecessarily. Ariel was perfect before and this ad just makes her look old and re-done in a Heidi Montag sort of way.

If there’s any Disney character that could use a little work, it’s Ursula. Have you seen those crazy ‘brows lately? ..and she could probably spare a few legs, too. If this surgeon’s office really wants some business, they should try giving her a make-over. That would be impressive.

Wow this is wrong. She is so much better before and as a person growing up watching the movie I would not want her to change.

After I saw some painter making some Disney characters gays, I can expect anything, people have sick minds and its horrible they’re changing Ariel, she’s magical just like she is. It’s Jessica Rabbit, we all know that, lol, but hey, we can typo sometimes.

i could be wrong but I think the point was more about the ability to construct the legs. Even in the ad there is a blanket over her face implying the work being done was giving her legs, which is something she always dreamed for.

There isn’t “another mermaid getting work done in the background”, it’s a storyline – you see Ariel and Eric, then Eric leaves her, so she gets surgery, and so on.

Not saying it isn’t a completely tacky ad, but I would think that anyone could see that it is a storyline (unless you have never ever read a comic strip…).

  Er, no Eric in this one, thought I had seen another with it. So blame Ursula. At any rate, message is the same – Ariel doesn’t get what she wants, so she turns to doctors to do it for her.
