Fifty Shades of Grey is the biggest book since Harry Potter, and the fantasy of it really gets to most women (literary merit aside.) But would it really be that great to actually be in a relationship similar to the one depicted in the bestselling book?
The New York Post‘s cover blasts “Fifty Shades of Rage” for their telling of a sex slave relationship gone wrong.
27-year-old New Yorker Frankie Santiago, (S&M name Althea Lyn) was the live-in sex slave of 52-year-old investment Edward Sonderling (known as King Eddo.) They reportedly engaged in a bondage relationship like the one in FSOG, but things got ugly when Frankie found out Sonderling was grooming a replacement.
The usually submissive woman exploded into a fit of rage that culminated with her arrest Monday.
When she first found out in July, she broke his car window, and sent a flurry of threatening texts like this:
“If I ever see you with her I will not hold back. I have nothing to lose. I hope she has a disease you catch.”
She’s threatened to kill herself with a knife, and posed as the other woman to cancel airline tickets.
It escalated until their physical altercation, when the police intervened. Santiago has been charged with “stalking, criminal mischief and aggravated harassment.”
Santiago and Sonderling were openly active in the NY fetish community. A source told NYP they saw him whipping her at an S&M event, and Sonderling noted “She has had a lot of practice. I whip her every morning before breakfast.”

Sonderling graduated from Horace Mann and Brown graduate and runs Priority Investors LLC. When asked about Santiago’s arrest he replied “I don’t think that I have anything to say about it. Why would I?”
