5-year-old Milania Giudice receives litany of hateful comments after Bravo Facebook post

The Real Housewives of New Jersey certainly creates a combative atmosphere with viewers of the show impassioned by their feelings of the stars. Sadly, these passions spilled over into the realm of ridiculous pettiness and immaturity as numerous adults trashed 5-year-old Milania Giudice following a post via Bravo’s official Facebook page.

If you’re not familiar with Milania, here’s a video featuring 10 memorable moments of Teresa’s daughter:

The folks over at Jezebel caught this prime example of how internet comment threads can quickly go downhill before the post in question was pulled, and rightfully so. On Monday someone with the network posted a pic of Milania and asked to share if followers had missed seeing her in the recent episode. What happened instead was a tidal wave of hateful comments aimed directly at a 5-year-old.

What really surprises is that these comments were not under the shroud of anonymous-comment-trolling as they were via Facebook and attached directly to Facebook accounts. These were grown adults proud to share vicious thoughts about a child.

Here are some examples of what was written about Milania.

• “there is nothing cute about her, she is ugly inside and out. she has the worst mother and father there ever is.”

• “Now thats one little girl I would love to put over my knees and whip the sh!t out of!

This next one comes from a mother who apparently had a child the approximate age of Milania:

• “Oh and…yeah the girl’s ugly as a toad and does not have one ounce of cuteness from he coarse hair that has been flattened to her rough voice. No, no, make her go a way to her grandma is sicily or something.”

And here are some more:

• “I think she needs a brow wax!”

• “whats wrong with her legs!lol”

• “The ugly little evil abusive strange looking troll..she has to be the schools’ bully.”

• “I never thought I would say this in my LIFETIME, but I absolutely HATE this little girl!!! BIGGEST BRAT ON BRAVO!!!!!”

All of this is a direct reflection on what putting your children on TV, especially in a reality show setting can mean. If you hit the link for the Jezebel post (above) they identified and linked to the “adults” in question who made the referenced comments.

I saw these comments aimed so nastily at a child and these people who would say such things should be put on a watch list if not entirely thrown of social medias. Thank you for posting this! And thank you jezebel.com for also making this giant problem more obvious to the public.

Wow ! Some people can be so cruel! One spoke of the little girl as a bully… What does that person, and every other person saying mean things about her, think they were doing?? Being bullies! The girl is 5 YEARS OLD!!!! Obviously it’s not HER fault she is the way she is…. I thought it was te PARENTS who are supposed to set the example…. And like all the haters were never 5 years old.. People are extremely harsh on Teresa’s daughters. Its like they don’t understand they can dislike a person without bashing or hating a developing child. It makes them look just as bad if not worse then the person they are criticizing. And its seriously not ok.

It is beyond disgusting, they attack a child and her parents, yet fail to see what it say about them, their parenting and how they were raised to think this kind of behavior is acceptable. BRAVO and those posters need to look at themselves and do some soul searching, provided they have one.

If I was in her parent’s shoes and my FIVE YEAR OLD was getting such negative attention, then I would take my kids off the screen. Adrienne Maloof from RHOBH never showed her kid’s on screen, their faces were always fuzzed out. I think that should be the protocol here. Children have no business being on that show, especially when internet trolls want to trash a child, that’s just disgusting.

granted that little girl does does seem like a little terror but you have to remember that she is ONLY FIVE. And she is also a product of her upbringing and it is irresponsable and incredably cruel and childish to bash a little girl.

This is absolutely digusting to me, GROWN ADULTS going after a child? How said their lives must be that they have to bully a child, or bully ANYONE for that matter. So easy to judge people sitting from behind a computer. Poor girl, all those commments are forever going to be on the internet, it makes me so sad for her.

What’s really sad about this is that 5 year old’s are products of their environment. We act surprised and disgusted when children act spoiled by their parents when all it takes is to walk to a local convenience store and see the same thing. The only difference is that she is more wealthy. No wonder these same girls grow up screwy and obsessed about their outer image. Maybe they wouldn’t be so obsessed about themselves if they didn’t have to prove something to the millions of viewers that criticize them. Nasty comments aren’t helpful people.

Kids are off limits, go after the parents, they are the reason the kids are on TV.
Commentators can be mean they sit and judge things that they know nothing about, then come the arguments with the other commentators, its ridiculous! To bash a little girl, disgusting!

I will say this, cute little girl has become the funniest part of the show, the things she says and does, all Teresa’s girls are cute, but Milania, takes the cake! You just never know what she is going to say.

Milania’s hilarious! She’s actually the cutest she’ll ever be now… Then she’ll grow up and be a bratty tween/teen. Enjoy it while it lasts!

She would A) Have had no teeth left, & B) been looking for said teeth in the next century where I would have knocked her into! Poor children indeed! They know EXACTLY what they’re doing. The video to me shows a child having fun, trying to be cute, and making jokes! Nothing on there shows a disrespectful little brat! Those people should be ashamed of themselves!! She is a child and at worst she was just acting like a child!

I wonder if anybody remembers Gia in the first season of rhnj. She was pretty bad too. Now she has matured and seems like a fairly well adjusted young lady considering her role models. Give Milania time and I’m sure she will change.

Please remember people that not everyone worships children and praises them. I in fact strongly dislike children for many reasons, and while I would never hurt a child or say hurtful things to them, if they are being bad or doing bad things then I can totally understand how other people are reacting.

I don’t agree with the comments calling her ugly though, how is that productive? That’s just mean and hurtful and should be done to no one.

So she’s a brat. So are most kids her age. She’ll outgrow it. And she’ll most likely grow into her looks. She’s an ugly kid, so what. So was Gia at that age, and Gia is actually turning into a cute girl. Milania will be fine, just give her a few years. She’ll be ok.

Ok she’s a brat, but she’s not 13 years old she’s freaking 5! I mean basically yesterday she was a toddler…the same people calling a 5 year old harsh names are the same people who wanna know why the world is messed up sometimes!

  You don’t have to like children just because you were once one. I personally don’t enjoy children that much, and the fact that I was once one plays little importance in that. I don’t think anyone should call a child names, that’s just wrong, but people have the right to dislike children.

I just watched the video. I think it’s actually pretty funny. She’s cute and it does seem like Teresa is always trying to correct her which is important. But at 5 a naturally sassy strong willed personality is just going to act that way.

Agreed she is a product of her environment so therefore she is disliked by association. Since people hate the mother it unfortunately passes on to the child. The video did not do her any favors, she seems to be a bratty, spoiled child and I would cringe at the thought of having to deal with that. Those parents obviously have not taught that child any respect. I hate reading, she is only five, she is only a little girl. Well if she had been taught that she doesn’t rule the world, I’m sure she would be better behaved. Someone commented that Gia seems to have matured, you obviously are not watching the same show, she has the same attitude times ten. They think the world has to cater to them because the parents didn’t teach them any boundaries. Enough said.

Wow- these are adults? This child is 5 for goodness sake! Who’s the adult here? I find that type of terrible bashing truly despicable! Maybe this gal isn’t an angel- but she will, in all likelihood, outgrow the negative behaviors. Not a huge Teresa or Joe fan- but very hurtful to have to read that about your child!
Nobody should sit in judgement regarding a 5 yr old. Sad….

Mother was asked to put children on TV, TV tapes the child acting like an out of control mean child, mother and father sign off on allowing video footage to be aired, this site quotes the bad comments left by FaceBook users and who is the bad person in this weird story? Parents, Bravo, viewers or the persons watching the show who have only said the truth? The parents are ridiculous, the child is out of control and like most children with no raising or home training does not gain the love of the adults watching her. Really, who hasn’t been to a restaurant trying to enjoy a meal that we worked hard to share with our families and one irritating child in the room and their ill-equipped (or blind stupid parents) parents giggle and laugh at the idiotic behavior. If you don’t want your children to be given pubic critique then keep them at home or teach them manners.

I feel about children the same way I do about rabid pit bulls;Please, dear God, get them the hell away from me. Disclaimer aside, Milania’s behavior is a tad disturbing, and unfortunately she has a knuckle dragging neanderthal that can’t get a two syllable word out for a father, and, well,,,what to say about Theresa…she can’t get beyond saying “I’m the mother of four beautiful daughters” to see that, even for a five year old, Milania is in dire need of some serious parenting.

You guys disgust me!!! Yes I understand the kids are mean but when you are raised by parents like that, that is why they are mean. Their parents aren’t correcting it.
