Jennifer Del Rio and Josh Smith’s explosive relationship was documented during the former’s memorable episode of 16 & Pregnant. There were back and forth accusations between the parents of twin sons Joshua and Noah which later included multiple restraining orders, all kinds of accusations and arrests.

The last time we posted up about the couple we had an interview with Josh after discovering he was granted weekend custody rights and that Del Rio had packed up and fled, fearing for her safety. Jennifer has since turned up over 1,000 miles away and is seeking sole custody of her sons according to court documents. In the interview with Josh he indicated that his sons were with Jennifer.

Via the papers filed by Del Rio in Lake County, Illinois, the now 18-year-old is claiming she’s the one doing all the care-taking — feeding, bathing and grooming, so it would be in the children’s best interest to stay permanently with their mom. In addition, Jennifer cites the couple’s history of domestic violence as the primary reason for seeking sole custody.

There’s been no ruling from the courts yet.

  Its not kidnapping when its a parent, its called custodial interference. It probably is in the best interest of those kids to not be around him since he did drop her and the babies off on the side of the road on her episode.

    That was wrong, what he did…but MTV didn’t show the whole truth. Apparently before that car scene Josh had found out that Jennifer had cheated on him. So I can totally understand his anger.

They made Josh out to be a monster and the only thing they showed was him picking her up and her actually hitting him on the show.

You can see in her eyes how much of a spoiled, entitled, manipulative broad she is.

Um doesn’t anyone remember the accusation that Jennifer beat up Josh after she was caught cheating? There are so many accusations and I really don’t think either of them deserve their children unless they change their abusive ways.

Um of course she is the only one doing the care taking, she ran off with them. I don’t really see that as a way to sway the judges decision, it’s kinda hard for josh to take care of them when he’s over 1000 miles away.

Josh was kinda weird but I think Jennifer, who was named after her own mom was a total nutjob with a fake whiny voice. She reeked mental illness or at least spoiled brat syndrome. She just seems very off and her parents accept that.
