PHOTOS Maci Bookout posts drinking pictures, says she wants to be a bartender

Teen Mom star Maci Bookout made a few headlines over the 4th of July holiday as a photo surfaced on Radar Online of her allegedly drinking a beer while at her family’s annual Bookout Cookout. The site seemed to work awfully hard to get the picture, when all they had to do was pop on over to Twitter to check out some much more festive Maci Boozout pics featuring the 20-year-old single mom enjoying what appears to be shots of tequila while wearing a festive, patriotic blue and silver-starred fedora.

Radar Online has an inside source (I don’t know, there’s something un-American about a Fourth of July cookout rat) who says, “I saw her drink a lot.” Then, “She had at least 6 beers and she was at the party for four or five hours.”

Maci wasn’t driving and turns 21 in August. I did a little research and apparently Tennessee doesn’t have exemptions for underage drinking if the parents are present, though lots of states do.

This isn’t the first time Maci has been caught in the act. In early 2011, Maci had made headlines when photos surfaced of her and her friends on Spring Break in Panama City Beach. The photos featured Maci drinking out of a mysterious red cup (we all know what that means) and even a beer bong. Honestly, most college age kids don’t pass up a party because they’re underage, so this isn’t a big deal.

Meanwhile, Maci seemed to thumb her nose at the Radar Online article with this announcement on Twitter yesterday:

I really want to be a bartender. not at a club but somewhere cool. i feel like id be so good at it. hm?

Oh boy! That’s sure to raise some eyebrows in the Teen Momiverse! (For no real reason. Being a bartender is a pretty great job depending on where you’re working.) So I guess this means she’s abandoning the whole broadcast journalist thing?

  Maci wants to have her own talk show, and she is obviously very impressed with her ability to hold court with a group of people who are spellbound by her every word and approve of her every decision. In her own mind, she is the perfect talk show host. What she fails to recognize is that every single person who she has gathered around her has completely ulterior motives for being there. To be Maci’s friend means that you have a chance to be shown on a hit TV show. When you appear on the show, you get at least a free meal at the place where you are filming. In addition, all of Maci’s “closest” friends got an all-expenses-paid beach vacation/escape from Appalachia. Girls in her hometown are probably falling all over themselves to be one of the ones who agrees with her the most and gets all of the perks. I, myself, would be first in line to tell her how great her tattoo looks, how much Ryan really loves her, how much of a loser Dalis is compared to her, how clever it was to get an Associate’s degree instead of a Bachelor’s degree, that it was a wise move to drop any class she is having trouble with, or how funny she is when she is drunk. I would also never tire of working with her on her analysis of who is more important to Bintley- Ryan is number one over Kyle. Maci is so above Dalis that it is not even funny.

This isn’t news. She posts pictures of her and her friends drunk all the time. I’m not saying it’s bad but it doesn’t make sense that she’s been “caught” when it isn’t something she tries to hide.

I don’t have an issue with drinking. BUT- I would LOVE for Ryan to threaten her custody agreement because she parties with her friends like she did to him.

Who cares? The legal drinking age in the U.S is too high anyway. In my province, we’re legal at 18. I’m 22 now and am not an alcoholic or scarred for life.

    Actually Ryan is legally old enough to drink, unlike Maci. He was already out of high school when she got pregnant and is at least two years older than her.
    
    I don’t know why anyone is surprised. She wants to bartend because she thinks she can do the “celebrity bartender” thing and make money off of her “fame”. She is too lazy to go to school, too lazy to work a real job and just wants to party all te time.       Couldn’t have said that better. I think she is really lacking the drive to go to college or do any of the things she swore she would do. She is trying to take the easy way in life and sad for her the gravy train will be ending as soon as this season wraps up. People will care for about a year and then be done.

  Just saying that I know several people who didn’t drink until they were 21…not because of religious or health reasons or anything, they just wanted to respect the law and didn’t have the urge to get drunk. So while lots of people do drink before they are 21, not everyone does.

  I personally don’t think she should post pictures of her activties. Is it that important to let everyone know what you are doing. If she wants to drink at home and not drive then that is okay. Not all teens drink! I live in Utah and I have plenty of neighbors that are teens and on the weekends they have pool parties, or shooting hoops, or just hanging out no drinking. They are not nerds, just choose not to drink.

I feel like the “real” reason behind it is because Ryan acted like he could care less about Bentley, as if he were choosing partying over his son. I don’t know why people on this site get so upset about things that happened a long time ago, to someone they watch on television..

Regarding Maci’s drinking, she obviously could take a little more care to hide this since it IS illegal, even in most people (like myself) agree that its not a big deal.

  Men and women under the age of 21 can just show their military ID and most bars will serve without seeing an ID.
  
  My ex was in the Army at the ripe age of 18 until 22 and he drank all the time at 18.

A lot of underage people do drink, and I get that (not saying that I agree or disagree with that)… but seriously, why take pictures when you know that it is against the law? Someday your future employers will be able to see this- once it’s on the internet it stays on the internet (especialy when you’re a “celebrity”. Apparently young adults do not think about their futures anymore.

  Good point. People should care about how they are perceived through the things they post. She has a child also; it just isn’t mature to post those pictures. The vast majority of people her age drink at least sometimes. However they are not all on television and have children to think of. She should try to use better judgement and grow up a little.

Doesn’t seem like she “gave up” anything for Bentley or to be his mother. She still does everything a teen would do.. or a college girl, even though she didn’t even stay in college. It’s pretty annoying. She gets all this credit for… what exactly? She just knows how to “play” the fans is all.

    No one expects her to sit at home but her “fans” act like she has given up a lot by having sex in High School & having a baby. A mother no matter what age gets to act the way that Maci acts. Most Mother’s are at home taking care of their kids 24/7 with the occasional time out with friends. She gets every other weekend to herself & go out & party. Last summer she was drunk in a hotel fighting with Kyle & eating food off the floor of a hallway in a hotel….classy…real classy.

She should enjoy herself! I’m not disputing that, but I think people who post those kinds of pictures (especially being underage too) are just looking for the wrong kind of attention. Share group shots of you and all your friends, but pics of everyone taking a shot? That wouldn’t be the way I would want to present myself, but I guess if she’s looking to become a bartender then that’s the kind of lifestyle she’s trying to have.

Maci was never gonna be a journalist. How r u gonna go to school for journalism when she completes like one class a year in college and fails/drops the rest. She irritates the h*ll out of me. I cant wait to see where the cast will be in 10 yrs. The only ones I see that might make something of themselves is Farrah. i don’t think it’s a big deal at all. she was at a house, her son wasn’t with her and hopefully she didn’t drive anywhere. most people don’t wait until they’re 21 to drink anyway.

id say 95 percent of people drink under 21…not a bad thing as long as your not driving and your careful. A lot of the laws should be changed just because its the law doesn’t mean its right….unlike things that are obviously wrong like harming another person etc. Anyways my point is who cares the only reason people care is because she’s famous but millions of teens just like her do it and as long as she’s responsible and not drinking when her child is around good for her to have some fun. Ryan is a sorry parent especially few years ago were he spent hardly any time with his kid so good for maci getting custody. Ryan didn’t even want more time with his kid his parents did. She isn’t partying when its her time with the kid thats the difference between her and ryan. Ryan will leave bentley with his parents all the time to go out and act like a teen without a kid
