Jill Zarin to host reality show segement on ABC’s “Good Afternoon America”

Jill Zarin to host Good Afternoon America on ABC

Jill Zarin got the boot from Real Housewives of New York after four seasons on the hit show. However, she hasn’t let that bump in the road slow her down. Since leaving the show, Jill has appeared on several talk shows including Better TV, Daytime TV, and the WPIX morning show, just to name a few. Now, Jill has caught the eye of a producer and has gotten her own gig!

Just hours ago, Jill posted the following announcement on her blog:

“I want to share some great news. ‘Hollywood called’ again. Well not exactly…it was a producer from GMA. I was asked to be a special correspondent on a new afternoon show on ABC called Good AFTERNOON America, that will air live from Times Square daily. It is the afternoon version of Good Morning America (GMA) and will be co-hosted by Lara Spencer and Josh Elliott. I am doing a weekly reality show segment on Wednesdays at 2pm…giving my opinion on reality shows. My first show will air July 11th and covers shows like America’s Got Talent, The Bachelorette and maybe a housewife show?? It is part time and yet still gives me an opportunity to talk to all of you every week and keep it real. I love that I am “LIVE”…you never know what I will come up with right?”

PS…Please let me know what your favorite reality shows are and which shows you want me to talk about…you never know…I might even mention you gave me the idea!

Jill fans rejoice! In less than one week, we will get to see her back on our television screens — every week! Plus, what better for Jill to be talking about than reality shows?

Jill’s former Real Housewives of New York co-star, Alex McCord, is also busy talking about reality on a blog of her own for Rumorfix. Now that Jill and Alex have made a career out of chatting about what they know (reality), perhaps the third booted housewife, Kelly Bensimon, should look into that as well! Or maybe she should just keep on lookin’ fine wearing Bob Dylan dresses. I guess there’s no reason she couldn’t do both 🙂

One thing is for sure — the ladies of Real Housewives of New York sure are motivated!
