If you missed the news over the weekend living legend Alex Trebek was in a little jeopardy as the 71-year-old purveyor of loaded answers suffered a mild heart attack, his 2nd (you could call it a faily double).
On Saturday Trebek (seen above from his first TV hosting gig back in the 60′s on Canada’s Music Hop) was taken to Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The official statement coming out now sounds like great news even it wasn’t given in the form of a question.
“Trebek is in good spirits and is currently under observation and undergoing further testing. He is expected to fully recover and be back at Jeopardy! when production begins taping in July for the new season, the show’s 29th.”
Back in December 2007, Trebek suffered his first mild heart attack. In case you’re wondering if this will slow the man down, The Hollywood Reporter reveals that he’s been renewed as Jeopardy host until 2014.
I hope the suits above Alex were not trying to revive Phone Jeopardy. The first time it didn’t go over well at all!
