Vicki Gunvalson has had one heck of a year. The Real Housewives of Orange County star has gotten a divorce, started dating again, and dealt with her only daughter, Briana, running off to Vegas and getting married. It’s no wonder why she’s been acting a bit emotional on the show. Vicki has also developed a new friendships as well as said goodbye to an old one.
In her Bravo TV blog, Vicki explains, “I’m under construction. I’m rebuilding myself to be a stronger, independent business woman who simply wants to surround myself with people who love me and believe in me and will make me smile. I’m not where I’m going to be, nor am I who I was.”
Regarding her new friendship with Alexis Bellino, Vicki reveals, “I really have come to love her and we have become friends this year. She is easy to be with and there never is any conflict or drama with her. She’s “nice” and, at this time in my life, easy and nice is what I need.” Vicki and Alexis have maintained their relationship even after filming wrapped and even went to Napa to celebrate Jim Bellino’s birthday.
Vicki’s friendship with another co-star is not going well. Her and Tamra Barney’s relationship has been strained since the first episode of this season and has only gotten worse since. Vicki took Tamra’s worries about Brooks as Tamra not wanting her to be happy. “I have been so supportive and happy for her and Eddie. I just had hoped she would have been the same for Brooks and I.” Vicki even accused Tamra of being responsible for Brooks’ negative press.
After reports of Brooks having not paid his child support and being arrested more than once, Tamra became concerned, as many friends would. However, Vicki didn’t appreciate it. ”Everything was fine with our relationships, until suddenly she became a different person towards Brooks.”
Vicki also reminds fans that Tamra’s relationship with Jeana Keough ended because of Jeana’s “butting in” to her relationship with Simon and adds, “isn’t that what she has been doing with Brooks and I?”
