Original book cover for Farrah Abraham's memoir My Teenage Dream Ended

When the image for Farrah Abraham’s book My Teenage Dream Ended popped up on Amazon we posted it up and the reaction wasn’t so hot. Our resident graphics expert, Asa, did a little critiquing and even provided a couple of examples of what might be better themes in general.

Here they are:

Farrah Abraham My Teenage Dream Ended book cover (not the actual book cover)

Farrah responded via Twitter way back in early December explaining that she couldn’t wait to show everyone the real cover of her book. Much time has passed and it’s still been that original via Amazon but now we have the official cover courtesy of MTV’s Remote Control blog. Here it is!

New and improved cover for Farrah Abraham's book My Teenage Dream Ended

Upgrade! This cover is actually kind of a microcosm of Farrah’s life. It shows great improvement and reflects a genuine appreciation for her most important role as Sophia’s mom. And hey, a cute Sophia never hurt anything!

Just for one last comparison here’s the original and the final product side-by-side.

The book officially hits shelves on August 14th.

I’m not a fan of the final font used because it is stark and angry next to such a sweet picture of the two of them. It would be nice to see a text that looked more loving. I love the new picture though. Very sweet.

i like the new cover better, but i think she should change the title. she makes it sound like Sophia is such a horrible thing … it should be something that is more of “my life CHANGED”, not ended.

i agree, ended sounds so rude. love the cover pic though.

I disagree, I think that it’s accurate. Her teenage dream is over, ecause her teenage life is over. It would be rude if she said “my dream…ended”. She has a new life now, but it’s ok to understand that the changes aren’t something she dreamed about, and wanted for her life. I LOVE the cover of the book though!

        • Kelly

I agree. Just because her teenage dream has ended doesn’t mean she hasn’t made room for more adult dreams. I love the new cover! So adorable!

    • Paula

I think she should’ve used one with a more serious look on her face. It would’ve matched the title better. This pic makes it look like she is “happy” about her teenage dream ending. lol. The one she is using with Sophia would’ve made a better pic for the back cover.

The title and photo don’t go well together. And why does she look 40 in that picture?

Poor thing wants to model but she either looks old or has dead eyes in all of her pictures.

I kinda want to read this to see what she says about the time in her life when Derek passed. Why they hid it on her episode of 16&pregnant and how hard it must’ve been. Guess we’ll see if she really opens up.

    • FaithHillFANatic

I can NOT stand her. It was her choice to spread her legs and take a change at getting pregnant at such a young age. Personally, I think that Farrah is a worthless mother. She uses her daughter to benefit herself. I will NEVER buy anything she endorses and or markets.

      • uh

im sure you wouldnt say the same thing about maci. stop being ignorant.

      • Kelly

So because she is taking full advantage of the publicity afforded to her by being on television to advance her career she is “using” her daughter? The things that Farrah is doing are to Sophia’s benefit. Farrah isn’t my favorite person, but give credit where it is due, she is the only one who appears to be seriously preparing for life after teen mom.

The cover is super cute, but it doesn’t fit the title. I think the title is awful, its kind of melodramatic and negative. There had to be a better way of getting that idea across. Regardless, I’m not a fan, but it really is a sweet picture.

Maybe something like “No More Teenage Dreams”? I dunno just not “My Teenage Dream Ended”. It’ll be interesting to see how much it sells. I’m sure starcasm will keep us updated on the numbers.

    • Sherita

I dont see it selling well considering Farrah’s attitude on the show. She is very snarky, rude, and disrespectful to the ONLY people who want ANYTHING to do with her, and thats her parents. I dont see this doing well at all. A few thousand copies at best.

    • Rachel

What her book title should have said was: My teenage dreams end but new life began or something that was positive about having Sophia :D

    • loveDetroit

Those are awful covers, and and awful title. It makes it sound like she died or something.

And what’s wrong with her mouth in the last pic? Actually her whole face looks photoshopped to hell.

    • Ricki

she has GOT to be kidding? Her “teenage dream” ended? What a psychotic wreck. She is the one who spread her legs and had sex with NO protection. Hey Farrah thats how you get a SOPHIA. DUHH. YOU are the one who ended ur own dream. You are the most DISRESPECTFUL self centered narcissist on tv right now. SHAME ON YOU!!! I HOPE your kid grows up to be EXACTLY like you. EXACTLY. THEN well see who is ( still ) crying..
