Stoned teen mom arrested after driving off with 5-week-old baby on car roof

The following is a break down of some seriously bad parenting at the hands of 19-year-old teen mom Catalina Clouser from Phoenix, Arizona.

On Friday night Clouser and her boyfriend had been smoking a little weed at a public park. After this they decided to head to a store and buy some beer with Catalina’s baby in the car. Hey boyfriend was pulled over and popped for DUI. Being upset over that whole situation, Clouser decided to take herself and her child to a friend’s house where she, “admittedly smoked one or two additional bowls of marijuana.”

After getting stoned Clouser thought it would be a good idea to head on home with her infant son asleep in the car seat. It wasn’t until she got home that she became aware that her son was missing. According to Phoenix Police officer James Holmes:

“It appears the suspect put the baby on the roof of the car and drove off, forgetting he was still on the roof.”

Freaked out, Clouser started dialing up friends frantically attempting to retrace her steps trying to figure out the location of her son. Once she pieced together what had happened officers were already on the scene. Holmes added:

“The officers did find that the car seat was damaged. There were scrapes on the car seat, obviously from a fall. We’re thinking that based on her possible impairment, she just didn’t realize that she had placed that baby at one o’clock in the morning on top of the car when she took off.”

Both Holmes and local station KTVK have reported that the 5-week-old infant is, “perfectly OK,” and that he has been placed in the care of Arizona Child Protective Services.

Catalina Clouser was arrested and has been charged with aggravated DUI and child abuse.

And this is why young mothers have a bad name and a bad reputation. I don’t understand why so many people, young and older women alike, have children with no intention of doing the “right” things for their child. Sure, a lot of people smoke weed but NOT WITH THEIR CHILD AROUND. Thankfully the baby is alright and hopefully he is with someone who will take proper care of him.

  WOW are u serious!!! Just because you can produce kids dosent mean you will be a good mom. This is y not everyone should be allowed to have kids. I swear man people this should be a law or a requirement to start having children that we have to completed some sort of test and training course over a long period of time.That poor little innocent boy shes lucky he is alright. Parents are putting themselves before their children and its really a sad thing. It hurts to see children neglected and being abused by their own parents. I dont understand the world today!!

  Actually, you DO NOT function normally. If you have gotten high off of pot, even a contact high, you are not in the correct state of mind. Not to mention, there ARE deaths from marijuana use. You can have kidney failure, PLUS you can cause yourself brain damage.

    No but really.. you don’t die from weed. Do some research before you start talking about things you know nothing about. She had been drinking. Pot only clouds your thoughts for a short time.. but anyone with a brain can function correctly while high. No, she should NOT have driven while under the influence.. but people are always going to jump to the conclusion that weed is worse than alcohol. Which clearly.. it’s not.

    None the less, when you are outside of your own home and taking care of your child, you need to be responsible. I am an avid marijuana user.. I am smoking a joint as I type this, actually. But there is a time to smoke, and a time not to. She is an adolescent, and a very immature one, at that. So no, some of us know right from wrong. And some of us are much more educated.

  agreed! and while i do smoke pot (((never around my child ONLY when hes down for the night))) even if i did smoke around my kid I WOULD NEVER forget my 5 month old baby on the top of my car. and why the f*** was he up there to begin with why didnt she put him in the car? you dont put the baby on the top of the car and then immediately after get in your car start it up and then drive off?! you just dont forget. i can see a drink or leftovers from a restaurant. but your f***ing kid? gimme a break! honestly who does that?? i think there leaving stuff out…like i said misplacing little things case your stoned ok but a human being? your child? thats just freaking crazy!

    Forget the emphasis on pot, alcohol or narcotics…who the hell puts their child on top of a car?! I’m 5’9″ & would have to struggle to put my child on top of my car and pull him off. That makes no sense to me. Set him on the ground for heavens sake but not the roof! I have left my purse & cell phone on my car before and drove off so I know how easily it can happen to set something on top of your car and forget. That was sober! Lol. No way would I put my son on top of my car. I too wonder why women have children if they do not want to commit 100%. You cannot cut corners with children and if you do you are failing them as a parent! Use protection if y ou are not ready to be a parent! I feel so sorry for kids born to idiot mothers.

15and w.e you have no ideal what you are talking about marijuana does not make you an idiot nor does it kill you plz get your facts straight!I smoke weed( in michigan where we can get it legally) I also have two kids and never have i ever left one of them on a roof of a car and drove off or forgotten them anything like that ever… This is clearly a case of a stupid hood rat who was more worried about her b.d going to jail then she was the welfare of her child! She clearly has been through alot and needs to get her priorites straight. Point is its ok too smoke just not around your kids. Smoking does not make her a bad mom but i would say forgetting about your kid def. does!!

They need to start sterilizing these losers. The poor kid was in a car with a drunk driver and then falling off the top of a moving car all in the same day. They are so lucky that the baby isn’t dead or seriously hurt right now.

it doesn’t say that they were drinking too. it says that they were on their way to the store and he got an dui which he could have gotten from smoking the pot. either way she is not old enough to be drinking nor should they be smoking pot. also why are they out so late with a baby? i hope they never get the baby back. she looks like trash with her pink hair.

I can’t believe she got high and forgot her child was on the roof of the car the entire time she was driving…. Smoking pot also makes you forget things.. I dont’ know about her, but If I had just gone through a pregnancy and was driving somewhere, I would look up to check on my child. I hope the baby gets adopted by a really loving couple. I hope she goes to jail for a while.

What a trash bag, take that baby away before she does something else stupid and he really gets injured. He’s lucky he wasn’t killed, I couldn’t imagine the jolt he got from flying off the roof of a moving car. Poor baby. I have a 3 month old son, it really hurts knowing that other children out there are abused and neglected by their own parent’s.

Shell your wrong. Someone who is a regular smoker and is accustomed to it CAN function perfectly normal, it’s more a relaxant then anything else after you’ve been smoking for a while. This stupid girl wouldn’t have smoked much before, and it doesn’t matter that much anyway because alcohol would have been the reason for this stupidity. Plenty of parents have a smoke at night after their children go to bed and are still perfectly good parents. Alcoholic parents, not so much.
Just dragging a 5 week old around in the middle of the night alone is enough for me to want to see the bubba go to better people, thank goodness he/she wasn’t hurt, that’s a mirical

People, nobody is saying pot is worse than popping pills or being drunk. Why do all of you potheads have to constantly point out that prescription meds and alcohol are legal? If she was caught with prescription meds she didn’t have a prescription for she would also be in trouble. If she was drunk driving at the time she forgot her kid on the roof she would be in trouble. NOBODY is condoning popping pills or getting drunk when you have a 5 week old baby to take care of. The girl HERSELF said that she had just finished smoking pot, it’s not like the media jumped all over this and tried to twist the story. If she’d had alcohol it was probably earlier in the day before her loser boyfriend was arrested for drunk driving with an infant in the car. I can’t believe they didn’t remove the kid from their custody at that point to be honest.

Just because some people claim that they have smoked so much pot they can function normally after smoking doesn’t mean that applies to everyone obviously.

Enough with the pot talk…everyone reacts differently to pot! I smoke pot regularly and when I smoke too much I do have a hard time functioning and I can barely do anything! My boyfriend on the other hand functions well while high, so really it just depends on the person, how much you smoke, and how good the kush is. Either way, don’t smoke around children! lol

It is seriously annoying to hear all these pot heads claim smoking pot isn’t bad for you. If its not bad, what’s so damn good about it that you would put smoking weed over parenting your child? This is disgusting. Idgaf how ‘unharmful’ weed is, or how alcohol is way worse. If you’re a parent you need to grow up and take the responsibility of taking care of your child seriously. Never tried weed in my life and don’t ever care to, BC I don’t need to be getting high off my ass to feel better. If this girl really thinks drinking and smoking is much more important than actually using her damn head and taking care of her child she might as well get a hysterectomy now. I’m sure she came from a broken family, an grew up around people who smoked weed and injected heroin and that’s why she sees no problem with going out with her child at 130 am to get drunk. OK first thing this girl really shouldnt be a mom thats very clear she hasnt a clue! Maybe brain cells have been lost due to somking weed maybe not! But for those of you that think smoking weed is safe and you all can think ok and carry out with your day to day business still doesnt change the fact of what your doing is wrong!!!
