Star Magazine published a story with an “insider” who speculated that they wouldn’t be surprised if Teen Mom 2′s Jenelle Evans was pregnant, citing some recent weight gain as evidence.

Jenelle has since made it very clear to starcasm, various other media outlets, and her Twitter followers that she is not pregnant. The birth control she’s using is called IMPLANON, which is implanted in your arm.

Jenelle gained a few pounds while recovering from breast augmentation surgery, and immediately faced a deluge of insults and criticism. She’s since been going to the gym regularly, and looking really healthy. This photo was taken five days ago on a date with fiance Gary Head (and no, they haven’t split up.)

The minute a woman gains a few pounds, people can use it as an excuse to speculate that she’s pregnant as a thinly veiled “fat” insult, and it can be extremely hurtful.

Uggg, so disgusting that people can just be rude for no reason. Don’t care what your opinion is of the girl, fat shame is super hurtful. If she is on medication for her bipolar disorder, that can also make you gain weight…so I say girl, if you gained a few pounds because you’re on the RIGHT TRACK, good for you.

It annoys me when so many negative comments are about these girls… first of all, what we see on MTV isn’t how they ACTUALLY live.. it is A TV SHOW, which they get paid to do so if mtv wants to make her look like a bad seed, I’m sure she’s getting compensated for it.. I also hate the issue with physical appearances.. I personally think she looks healthy with some weight to her — as i do for most people.. W|hen you are bone skinny you look malnourished or addicted to drugs..

I bet if she were to actually grow up and make Jace her number one priority people wouldn’t look for any excuse to bash her. She’s the only girl from TM2 that gets all of this negative attention and it isn’t because she’s gained a few lbs.

  I’m pretty sure ALL of the girls from TM2 get negative attention for various reasons. Leah for cheating and getting married again so quickly, Chelsea for continuing to take Adam back over and over again and Kailyn for cheating on Jordan.

I have been critical of her weight gain but only because I think how one takes care of themselves physically is one of the main indicators of how one takes care of themselves mentally and emotionally. Happiness and productivity are also so much easier to maintain when one is in good physical shape, eating well, and sleeping well.

But puhhlease if she had the rest of her life together, wasn’t constantly waisting energy on boys, not spending money on boob jobs, was close to finishing school and taking care of jace, no one would’ve had anything to say. But clearly her life is a mess, and yes it has been showing physically.

I never thought she was preggo. I thought she had gained some pounds, BUT she is shorter. Whenever shorter people gain a little bit of weight it looks light a lot.

How come you guys seem to update on Jenelle a lot, but never or hardly ever on the other Teen Mom 2 girls? Or is it just because Jenelle causes a lot more drama than the other girls?

MEh. Who cares? She’s such a negative person to others…you’d think she would have learned to handle insults by now…she throws them out enough herself. So I’m sorry if I find it hard to be sympathetic to her whole “you called me fat and hurt my feelings” b.s.
