Teen Mom Jenelle Evans continues to bask in the afterglow of her recent engagement to Gary Head as the two of them continued their relatively drama free life together with a family trip to a pirate ship with Jenelle’s son Jace. The adventure comes just just three days after Jenelle accepted Gary’s proposal and eight months after Jace’s last piratical themed outing when Jenelle booked Pirate Adventure for an afternoon.

The trio seemed to be having a blast as MTV cameras captured it all for the upcoming third season of Teen Mom 3. (You can see the MTV video camera in the bottom photo) Jace had a blast as he got picked up by a pirate and even attempted to give Gary Head a spin in his stroller.

Jenelle tweeted her excited anticipation early Saturday:

Taking jace to see the pirates of the Caribbean boat in downtown Wilmington today. he is going to e SO EXCITED! Then waiting on the fiancé

She later tweeted a screen cap of a text conversation with Gary in which he sent a photo of Jace strapped in his car seat and ready to go, along with the message, “Surprise Your mom texted me this morning. Jace said he wanted to go to the ‘pirate boat.’”

But it wasn’t just any “pirate boat,” it was the HMS Bounty – or at least a replica of the HMS Bounty. The famous replica was built for the 1962 film Mutiny on the Bounty and was later used in the film Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Mans Chest. Here are the full deets from the ship’s web site:

The HMS Bounty is one of the most famous ships in the world. Known for the storied mutiny that took place in Tahiti in 1789 on board the British transport vessel, the current Bounty, a replica, has survived to tell the tale. Built for the 1962 movie Mutiny on the Bounty with Marlon Brando, HMS Bounty sails the country offering dockside tours in which one can learn about the history and details of sailing vessels from a lost and romanticized time in maritime history. Since her debut in Mutiny on the Bounty, HMS Bounty has appeared in many documentaries and featured films such as the Edinburgh Trader in Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Mans Chest with Johnny Depp.

But enough of all that square-rigged sailing mumbo jumbo, let’s get back to Jenelle, Gary and Jace!

Although the HMS Bounty looked like a lot of fun, it wasn’t the only adventure for Jenelle and her motley crew. She tweeted Staurday afternoon, “Hahahaha running from paparazzi with @gary_head is fun.”

Oh, and the adventure looks to continue into the evening! “Going out tonight downtown with @gary_head ” she tweeted.

Though Jenelle and Gary did have a rather bitter (albeit brief) falling out, they do seem great for each other – I don’t even think the haters can arrrrrghue that!

Jace is 2, by no means too big or old for a stroller! Two year olds can’t walk long distances or very fast yet, and especially in crowded areas it’s usually safer and easier for them to be in a stroller.

  Hey, my mom kept me in a stroller until I was 5 years old. It’s safer and I can imagine it would be exhausting for a two year old to walk around outside all day.

    Jackie, it’s interesting. Strollers are used under 3 yr old in my country (I live in the EU). It seems it depends on culture

She is exploding! Her legs/arms/face/stomach are getting big. She is definitely bigger than she was even a couple weeks ago. At first, it seemed like she could have been bloated from surgery (they pack you with IV fluids, etc) but now it’s clear that she’s jut getting big. Shr has been steadily gaining for some time. Her face started to change/get fatter around the time she supposedly went to rehab. Even in her mugshots there is a big difference in her face. And the boob job isn’t helping, it just makes her look bigger.

  I thought I read somewhere she was on Implanon for birth control. If that is the case, that definitely makes you pack the weight on. Which could easily account for the extra weight.

Shes definitely gained some weight – she eats out WAYYYY to much which is exactly what happened to me when I moved out. Shes still looking good though

and Jace is NOT too old for a stroller. I took my cousin to the zoo last year by myself (so age 5) and he was in the stroller the whole day. It was TOOO hot for him not to be in one plus its a big zoo and too many people!

I think the weight gain comes from living differently. When she was with Kieffer they were like nomads, moving from place to place, always broke because they spent most of their money on drugs. When a person doesn’t eat or sleep regularly, the look like hell. Janelle looks healthier physically. Although I still think she is starved for attention, Gary seems to stablize her life, somewhat.

Not even being rude but she has gained bad weight. She is gaining weight around her waist which is a tell-tale sign of unhealthy eating and even drinking. If she keeps going, it won’t look good for her later on (40+). It’s fine for her to have gained a little weight if it was healthy weight but it’s not.

Also, I’ll put money on it that she isn’t getting Jace back anytime soon. If I were a judge, I would never hand a child over to such an unstable person. Just knowing that she smokes weed all the time would be enough to deny her custody. Too bad she can clean herself out in only a couple days (need to start giving hair tests).

  She is clean by the just aying she went to rehab and quit smoking weed for gary and jace. she has been clean ever since i mean i cant see her wanting to lose jace again and jace is to small not to be in stroller.

I actually think that the weight makes her look a little better, not so doped out. She shouldn’t have to live by what everyone thinks she should weigh. It could be the camera angle or anything but I don’t think by any means she looks bad at all!

Why do people feel the need to comment negatively on her weight?! Who cares! If she feels that she is gaining too much let her worry about it herself! Would you want people scrutinizing your appearance all the time?! Geeeeez.

omg! Jenelle is getting huge! But its not like she makes any other healthy choices in life, it shouldn’t be a surprise that she chooses to eat poorly and not exercise on top of everything else.

  I don’t think she looks bad, but it is common for addicts to gain weight once they’ve quit. If she really has stopped using then the weight gain is most likely a result of that. No wonder so many women suffer from eating disorders. Stop being so critical about HER body. Seriously, it’s like since she is spending time with jace in this post you people have to find something else to complain about. Get over yourselves because I’m sure if your pictures were plastered everywhere people would be saying some of the same things about you.

      From personal experience, I firmly believe in the strong correlation between physical fitness and health to mental health. Its good that she spent a day with jace though.

If she gave up drugs, that could be cause for some weight gain. It happens. I don’t think she is “fat” by any means.

Wow guys… putting on a few healthy pounds doesn’t make her “fat.” She’s short, so gaining a few pounds will look more noticeable on her. But she’s far from “huge,” she looks completely average and healthy. Unless you guys are going to post pictures of your own ‘perfect 10′ bodies, don’t judge.

I don’t think she is fat, just bigger than she was. If she gave up drugs, gaining weight could be a good sign.

She’s gaining weight from her bipolar medication. No matter how healthy her diet is or how much she works out, it is pretty much impossible to stop the weight gain. I feel bad for her. The same thing happened to me and it’s the most humiliating thing I’ve ever gone through, but she’s having to go through it on tv. Leave her alone.
