Lady Zazombie hanging out at the 2009 VMAs
The intentionally over-theatrical Lady Gaga succeeded once again at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards with her performance of the single “Paparazzi,” showing her skill at delivering a heavy-handed message (she was actually hanging from a wire with fake blood down her chest at one point) with just the right mixture of kitsch, flamboyance, melody and bare legs.
