I grew up in a spring break town and let me tell you, the view from my ride never looked this good!
The stars of the most bikini-leaked on set photos movie in cinema history, Spring Breakers, actually did a real shoot for the always great pictorial focused Interview magazine. Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine reminded us all once again that the film will be a must see, or at least a must Red Box, when it finally arrives late in 2012 or early next year.
The film directed by Harmony Korine, who wrote the unforgettable script for 1995′s Kids, has generated the type of buzz major studios can only dream of and that’s due in large part to tiny bikinis and big names cast in the film:
Spring Breakers stars Gomez, Hudgens, Benson, and Korine’s wife, Rachel Korine, as a quartet of college students who land in jail after robbing a restaurant to fund their spring break trip. The foursome is bailed out by Alien (Franco), a drug-dealer and gunrunner, who seduces the girls into his world. Drugs, sex, and violence ensue. (Gucci Mane, Glee‘s Heather Morris, and skateboarding weirdos the ATL Twins also feature.)
While the girls and their bikinis are certainly show stopping Franco has garnered his own headlines as a K-Fed looking beach thug. I can say that I did know a dude or two that liked him where I grew up. Here’s Franco with guns loaded along with two of his eye-catching co-stars:
Selena told Interview about her excitement in being involved with SB:
“I was getting kind of repetitive in terms of the roles I was picking, and I really wanted to do something that was completely different. It was a mark thing for me—like, ‘This is what I want to be doing.’ I want to be taking myself seriously as an actress, and this was definitely a stretch. I mean, I’d never smoked a cigarette before in my entire life. It was really funny—they had to show me how to do it.”
Selena may have never smoked before but she’s certainly smokin’ in the Interview pictorial from photographer Michael Muller. Here’s one more shot of the stars this time getting cuffed and taking the position against a patrol car.
